Jun. 30--ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- If the Pennsylvania legislature passes a bill to allow slot machines at racetracks, Frank Hogan of Northeast Philadelphia said he still would make his weekly bus trip to Atlantic City.
"I think most people would still rather smell the Atlantic Ocean all day than horse manure," Hogan, 75, said as he strolled the Boardwalk yesterday after getting off a chartered bus for an afternoon of playing the slots. "That's the big distinction for me."
