Jul. 2--TWIN FALLS, Idaho -- As Monique Nielson smoked a cigarette outside a local restaurant on the first day of the statewide smoking ban, she held no ill will toward the new law.

he Idaho Clean Indoor Air Act went into effect Thursday. The act, signed into law by Gov. Dirk Kempthorne on April 2, prohibits smoking in restaurants statewide.
