Jul. 6--FORT WORTH, Texas -- When residents on Grand Mesa Drive heard that Wal-Mart wanted to build a Neighborhood Market grocery store on vacant land behind their homes four years ago, concern rippled through the neighborhood, Abraham Rodriguez said.
"I was one of the first ones to say I didn't want them here," Rodriguez said. Thoughts of noise, traffic, lights and crime had residents on edge, he said. But the company worked out problems to the satisfaction of homeowners, Rodriguez and other residents of his Park Glen neighborhood said.
