NEW ORLEANS, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Entergy Charitable Foundation has recently awarded 69 grants totaling $528,446 to benefit nonprofit organizations that emphasize education, literacy and low income issues.

These awards mark the completion of the foundation's second funding cycle for 2004.
