CANBERRA, July 6 Asia Pulse - Australia has agreed to exchange financial intelligence with eight new international partners, the government said today.

Justice Minister Chris Ellison said that would assist in the international fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.

Senator Ellison said the agreements had been signed with Argentina, Colombia, Cook Islands, Estonia, Ireland, Slovakia and Thailand and Spain.

"Building bilateral relationships with our international partners is essential in extending and strengthening the international financial intelligence exchange network," he said in a statement.
