Jul. 7--Every time Mac Choudry boarded a jet bound for Latin America, he landed a contract, with the help of Houston trade mission organizers.
Trips to Bolivia, El Salvador and Guatemala all resulted in Choudry's American National Rags selling used clothing, thanks to the work of Houston International Initiatives officials, who did everything from set up meetings to hire interpreters.
For freight forwarder Frank Reyes, the organization helped arrange his travels to Bolivia, Peru and Venezuela, generating tons of cargo for him to shuffle around the Western Hemisphere. ...
