I love to fish. My mother says eating makes you smart. But that is not why I fish. I fish because it is fun.
My father wakes me before the sun is up. My mother is still asleep. The birds sound loud and happy. I brush my teeth very fast. I try to do a good job. I wash my face, too.
We get in the car. The fishing poles are in the back. It is still dark. "Are you hungry?" asks my father.
"Oh, yes!" I answer.
We stop at the diner for breakfast. Then we drive to the shore. The big, bright sun comes up over the water. It makes the water shine. The dock sticks out over the water. I hold my hook in one hand. I put the worm on with the other ...
