SAN JOSE, Calif. _ March Madness is returning to San Jose, and with it comes the triple-E wallop of win-or-go-home excitement, national television exposure and a multimillion-dollar economic windfall.
HP Pavilion will host one of the four NCAA men's basketball regionals in 2007, the NCAA announced Thursday.
The event, scheduled for March 22 (semifinals) and March 24 (final), should generate at least $5 million for the local economy.
San Jose State will run the four-team, three-game affair in conjunction with the Western Athletic Conference.
