South Carolina National Bank, Columbia, which became a unit of Wachovia Corp. late last year, has elected vice chairman W.D. "Doug" King as president.
His new responsibilities will be to manage all consumer and small-business banking areas of South Carolina National as well as the administrative units that support these areas. The subsidiary of South Carolina National Corp. operates in 75 markets in its state.
