PTA project in Zhejiang Province to come on stream by end of year
Shanghai. July 9. INTERFAX-CHINA - The Shenzhen-listed United Holdings announced today that a PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid) project funded by its controlling investor, the Zhejiang Hualian Sanxin Petrochemical Co., Ltd, is to become operational by the end of the year, aiming to tap the growing domestic demand.
The facility, located in eastern China's Zhejiang Province, is designed to produce 600,000 tons of PTA per annum. The total investment on the project is calculated at around RMB 2.5 bln (USD 302.04 mln).
