Dr. Mark Zimmerman uses a cloth doll named Maya to illustrate the life of people who live in Nepal.
"The first question is: "What did you have for breakfast?"' he asked during a recent Sunday service at University United Methodist Church in Syracuse.
"Cinnamon buns," someone in the congregation replied.
"Granola," answered another person.
Zimmerman posed more questions for the nearly 75 people in the congregation: What did you do before breakfast? What do you see from your window? What would you do if you got sick today?
