HP OpenODB, a commercial object-oriented DBMS for large, multiuser environments, is now available from Hewlett-Packard Co., Palo Alto, Calif.
The product can be easily ported to other vendor's platforms due to its object-oriented structured-query language (OSQL). OSQL builds on current database technology by allowing programmers to use third-generation languages to write applications.
