Q We're expanding our plant, which produces polyurethane emulsions. What should we be aware of in order to ensure the safety of both our personnel and equipment?
A The first thing to be aware of is that the polymerization reaction should be continuously monitored from start to finish. If abnormal conditions are detected, steps are automatically taken by the process control system, thereby avoiding out of control operations.
