Hackensack, N.J. -- Hakim Warrick just kept shooting. Mid-range jumper after mid-range jumper.
The Rothman Center on the campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University was empty except for Warrick and two other players. The other 20 or so college players, who serve as counselors at the Reebok ABCD camp, had vacated the gym after a 90-minute workout under the direction of NBA assistants and scouts.
And still Warrick kept shooting.
This is the summer that Warrick, a 6-foot-8 forward who will be a senior at Syracuse University in the fall, must convert his game or his frame. Or both.
Warrick knows ...
