NEW YORK_The first action hero to appear on American movie screens certainly wasn't Bruce Willis or Arnold Schwarzenegger, or even Tom Mix.
He was, improbably, the famous Mexican general and revolutionary Pancho Villa, remembered also for having once actually invaded the United States, killing some 18 U.S. citizens in a 1916 raid on Columbus, N.M.
