HAVEN, Wis._The site of this year's PGA Championship, Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y., is a fine venue. It ranks as one of the best courses in the country.
But as good as Oak Hill is, it isn't Whistling Straits. Nothing is Whistling Straits.
The countdown has begun for the 2004 PGA Championship's arrival at Whistling Straits, located an hour north of Milwaukee. If you've played the course, you know how good it's going to be.
Simply put, never in modern golf will there be a major that creates more anticipation, more buzz and more intrigue _ at least outside of Augusta, Ga.
The course is jaw-dropping ...
