COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. _ Members of the Mutual UFO Network keep their eyes on the skies.
The Mutual UFO Network Inc., or MUFON, a nonprofit corporation founded in 1969, calls itself the world's largest civilian UFO research organization. The group uses volunteer investigators to gather information on UFO sightings reported by the public, local authorities and news media.
The volunteers are trained on interviewing witnesses, collecting physical evidence and other aspects of an inquiry, relying on the 300-plus-page "MUFON Field Investigator's Manual." Reports are sent up the MUFON chain of command and essential factors are ...
