ABUJA, Nigeria _ President Bush on Saturday wrapped up his five-nation tour of Africa by affirming America's new strategic interest in the continent and the role he expects Africa to play in the U.S.-led war on terrorism.
"We will not allow terrorists to threaten African peoples or to use Africa as a base to threaten the world," Bush said, pledging to send $100 million to East African nations now coping with destabilizing terrorist elements.
