COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. _ When 1,320 prospective cadets, including a record 230 women, arrive at the Air Force Academy on Thursday they'll step into a new era.
The Class of 2007 will charge up the Warrior Ramp but will be the first bunch of "doolies," or basic cadets, not greeted with the "Bring Me Men" sign at the Terrazzo entrance.
The sign was dismantled March 28, two days after Air Force officials imposed the "Agenda for Change," sweeping changes in cadet life, training and command in response to allegations academy leaders were dismissive of sexual assault reports.
