Jul. 15--When Michael Hunnicutt decided to move his family from California back to his native Chattanooga this summer, he initially looked at homes in Hamilton County.
But as the parents of a 4-year-old son starting school next year, Mr. Hunnicutt and his wife, Jennifer, decided to buy a home in Ringgold, Ga., instead.
"The mess in the schools was the No. 1 reason I came across the border," said Mr. Hunnicutt, who closed last week on the purchase of a house in The Meadows subdivision in Catoosa County. "They're going to need some changes in Tennessee."
The Hunnicutts are among a growing number of families choosing to move south of the border ...
