For a while, I ignored the lamebrain comparisons.
But now that Chante Mallard has been judged by a jury of her peers, it's time to put an end to the ludicrous suggestion that her heinous crime is even remotely comparable to what happened in Jasper five years ago this month.
Forget for a moment that Mallard is black and her victim, Gregory Biggs, was white.
In fact, you can forget that observation altogether because race had absolutely zilch to do with this case _ unlike the dragging death in Jasper.
