Houston, Texas -- A line-drive double into the right-field corner. A triple into the same area. A long ball. Then another one.
It was a swift and shocking display of first-inning pop against Roger (The Rocket) Clemens, and it fueled the American League's 9-4 romp over the National League in the 75th All-Star Game on Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park.
"Both teams are pretty equal," AL manager Joe Torre said. "It's just a matter of who gets the jump and who holds you off."
