GETTING THERE
These are the most remote national parks in Alaska, and not so easy to reach. The preferred method for entering Gates of the Arctic National Park involves taking a flight from Fairbanks to the nearby town of Bettles, near the southeast corner of the park or into Anaktuvuk Pass, near the park's northern border. Or it's possible to drive the Dalton Highway, which passes about 5 miles east of the eastern edge.
