WASHINGTON _ The Supreme Court agreed Monday to hear the case of a Missouri woman whose murder conviction was reversed because police intentionally waited to read her the Miranda warning until after she had confessed.
The case of Patrice Seibert is the third involving Miranda warnings that the high court has agreed to hear this fall.
The Missouri Supreme Court reversed Seibert's second-degree murder conviction in December. Seibert admitted a role in the death of Donald Rector, 17, killed in an arson fire of the mobile home in Rolla where Seibert, her sons and Rector lived. Two of Seibert's sons helped plan the arson ...
