First round: Kyle Boller, QB, Baltimore: Boller was one of three franchise quarterbacks in this draft, but his stock slid during the early rush for defensive linemen. A staggering nine of them went in the first 18 picks, including some reaches. When sanity was restored to the draft board, the Ravens traded up to No. 19 to get this blue-chip talent from Cal that coach Brian Billick wanted all along.
Second round: Boss Bailey, OLB, Detroit: The Lions were set to take the best available cornerback at the top of the second round. But instead of selecting the sixth corner in this draft, they found the best linebacker.
