As if she didn't do enough time in that attic, she has been maligned by feminist critics, misappropriated by Jerry Lewis, and at various junctures Ann-Margretized, Brandy-ed, Betty Bronsonized, Betty Huttonized, Drew Barrymored, Mary Pickforded, Sarah Michelle Gellarized, Gemma Cravenized, Disneyfied, tutu-ed, tattooed, Rodgers and Hammersteined, Sondheimed, Rossinied, Prokofieved, Masseneted, macerated, pickled and preserved for every conceivable audience demographic.
