Jul. 16--MCDONALD'S PLAN SUCCEEDS -- UP TO A POINT: McDonald's Corp. Chief Executive Charlie Bell gave himself some much-needed relief Thursday.
After being elevated to his new post in April, it was a matter of time before he had to off-load some direct reports and did so by giving more responsibility to some top lieutenants, most notably Jim Skinner, vice chairman, and Matthew Paull, the company's chief financial officer, who was promoted to senior executive vice president and CFO.
Skinner picks up management oversight of Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and Latin America. Paull picks up responsibility for corporate strategy. ...
