On Dec. 17, Bishop Robert Duncan of Pittsburgh indicated in an interview in The New York Times that traditionalists in the Episcopal Church have launched a movement of "confessing churches" called the Network of Anglican Communion Dioceses and Parishes. The new confessing movement is a coalition of traditionalist parishes and dioceses opposed to the consecration of an openly gay bishop in New Hampshire. Among the participating dioceses named by Duncan was the Diocese of Central Florida under Bishop John Howe.
