WASHINGTON _ Four more Western states and a U.S. territory were added to the list of places that may have received meat from a slaughtered Holstein with mad cow disease, a federal official said Sunday.

But authorities issued assurances that consumers were at "virtually zero" risk even if they ate meat from the infected animal.

The USDA has issued a recall for 10,000 pounds of meat from the sick dairy cow and 19 others that were slaughtered at the same time at Moses Lake, Wash.
