CORAL GABLES, Fla. _ Brock Berlin's first season as Miami's quarterback will come to a close in the same bowl game that began his career as a starter.
Thursday's game will be Berlin's second start in the Orange Bowl because the former Gator opened up Florida's 2002 win over Maryland when Steve Spurrier demoted Rex Grossman for violating a team rule.
Berlin completed 11 of 19 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown. But he also threw two interceptions that kept Maryland in the game. Grossman entered in the second quarter and led the Gators to four touchdowns in a 56-23 rout.
