OAKLAND, Calif. _ A's left-hander Barry Zito doesn't want to forget about his trying first half.
Friday, Zito took the first step in putting it behind him.
In the A's 5-1 win over the Chicago White Sox at Network Associates Coliseum, Zito displayed none of the symptoms that dogged him through the first 14 weeks of the season and raised concerns about the direction of the 2002 Cy Young Award winner's career.
