The European Union's Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) has rejected efforts by Czech brewer Budejovicky Budvar to block Anheuser-Busch's registration for "Bud" for a variety of entertainment and related services. If upheld on appeal, Anheuser-Busch would receive an EU-wide registration for "Bud" for services that are important in the marketing of beer.
