There are no two ways about it. Bogie, who checked out in 1957 a few days before his 58th birthday, is still one cool dude.
He was cool during his 1940s heyday, when he appeared in trench coat and 5 o'clock shadow in "The Maltese Falcon" and "Casablanca," and he's super-cool now. Which is why he remains the movies' single greatest cult figure, bigger even than Marilyn, Coop or the Duke.
