Article: ABC plugging `Jimmy Kimmel Live' with host gig on awards show.

Byline: Ed Bark

The Osbournes hosted the last "American Music Awards" show, so maybe Jimmy Kimmel is a slightly less dicey choice.

Be prepared, though. He's no Boy Scout.

"I think I'll be all right. But ultimately it's a live television show, and I'll do anything I want," Kimmel says in a telephone interview.

Although it's supposed to be an annual event, 2003 is bringing both the 30th and 31st editions of Dick Clark's long-running rebuttal to the Grammys. ABC's Osbournes-infested show aired on Jan. 13 of this year. Now here we go again in the middle of the November "sweeps" ratings period. Funny how TV works, isn't it? Not really.
