The draft status review for the northern spotted owl has been released, and the political scientists already are spinning the real science to advance their agendas.
Scientists working for the Sustainable Ecosystems Institute spent six months reviewing hundreds of research papers trying to determine what is happening with the northern spotted owl. What they found wasn't encouraging. Without drastic measures, the fate of the owl is in serious question. The environmental spin doctors have seized on this fact and are trying to use it to push their no-harvest agenda on all forestlands.
