ROCKWALL, Texas _ At first glance, Brittney Danaher seems to be a typical teenager.
She listens to Incubus and Nelly. And she spends her school days at the Herman E. Utley Freshman Center in Rockwall, Texas. In her Spanish class, however, she commands respect like no other teen in the building.
"Subir. What does that mean?" she called from the front of the class, catching the attention of the slightly rambunctious students.
"Raise," she repeated when a couple of students called out the correct response.
Despite her youthful looks _ and age _ the 19-year-old is a teacher, not a student.
