Dec. 24--Rebel Freeman has lived the Christmas-tree business -- literally.
Since Thanksgiving, Freeman has spent day and night in a small trailer next to a tent full of Christmas trees on the side of busy Forrest City Road in Altamonte Springs. So he's had plenty of time to observe sales trends as customers snapped up hundreds of trees.
One thing has stood out more than the others: Customers seem particularly interested in purchasing really tall trees, Freeman said. People were routinely shelling out as much as $225 for a 13- or 14-foot-tall tree.
