Developer Plans 100-Acre Retail Site in Kyle, Texas.

Dec. 19--KYLE, Texas--A 100-acre retail development taking shape in Kyle could include a Wal-Mart Supercenter, restaurants or a movie theater.

Ohio-based Carnegie Management and Development Corp. is planning 600,000 square feet of retail space at Interstate 35 and Dry Hole Road. Kyle recently annexed land including the site.

Kyle officials estimate that their population will grow from 12,000 to 30,000 or more by 2007. The stores at Carnegie's Kyle Towne Center, along with an H-E-B planned for the east side of the interstate, would be the city's first major retailers.
