Dec. 12--NEW YORK--Honda Motor Co. announced Thursday that it plans to introduce a new type of vehicle combining elements of a sport-utility vehicle (SUV) and a pickup truck in January in a bid to break into the booming U.S. pickup truck market.
The Honda SUT Concept vehicle will make its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 4. The vehicle combines the utility of an open cargo bed with the interior space and functionality of an SUV, Honda said in a statement.
