Dec. 13--The president of Roche Pharmaceuticals in Boulder announced Friday he is retiring. Dr. Eric Lodewijk, who has been with the Roche Colorado Corp. for more than three decades, will officially retire Dec. 31.
"I'm 63 years of age, been with the company for 35 years, have done my share... and want to go sailing," Lodewijk said. "I think I deserve a break."
Lodewijk has been president for seven years and in that time committed himself and company to working on environmental issues and concerns.
