HARM TO CONSUMERS, MERCHANTS, ECONOMY FROM CAPPING INTEREST RATES
WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The credit card industry is one of America's most competitive, offering consumers a broad array of choice, according to a new study released today and distributed on Capitol Hill.
The study, "Consumers, Competition and Choice: The Impact of Price Controls on the Credit Card Industry," also concluded that capping credit card interest rates would result in a loss of credit to millions of consumers, harm remaining cardholders and seriously hamper the economy.
