WASHINGTON, July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wellness Community (TWC), a Washington, D.C.-based international, non-profit organization dedicated to providing free support and education for people affected by cancer, announced today that it received a seed donation of $50,000 from the Michele Susan Kogod Memorial Foundation towards the establishment of The Wellness Community of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area. The Michele Susan Kogod Memorial Foundation was created to honor the memory of Bonnie and Bernie Kogod's 19-year old daughter, Michele, who died of Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1987.
