Dec. 3--CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--Last year, it was the FurReal friend, a purring, meowing lifelike stuffed cat.
In 1996, it was the Tickle-Me Elmo doll.
And who can forget The Cabbage Patch craze of the early 1980s -- which had shoppers fighting over dolls in toy store aisles?
So, what'll it be this year? What's the toy that every child in the area simply can't live without?
