Thrivent Financial for Lutherans today will merge 14 of its mutual funds, culminating a yearlong effort to revive performance at its $11 billion mutual fund arm.
For the past 2 1/2 years, Thrivent has offered its 3 million members two families of mutual funds - one bearing the name of Lutheran Brotherhood in Minneapolis and another with the Wisconsin-based Aid Association for Lutherans moniker - even though the two fraternal organizations merged in 2002.
