Nov. 18--Officials at the Winter Park Health Foundation hope their $600,000 donation will help more children receive low-cost health insurance.
Healthy Kids, part of Florida's KidCare family of programs serving uninsured children, provides affordable health insurance for children from households with incomes too high to qualify for Medicaid. The program is funded through a combination of state and federal dollars -- every 29 cents of state money matched by 71 cents of federal money.
