Nov. 17--Four Long Island assisted-living facilities owned by affiliates of once-troubled CareMatrix Corp. are scheduled to be sold at a foreclosure auction on Dec.5.
This isn't the prelude to a mass eviction. An official of the company that manages the residences told Newsday that the elderly residents of the SeniorCarecenters in Jericho, Islandia, Hauppauge and Bohemia won't have to worry about losing their rooms or paying higher rates.
