Nov. 17--Marketing executive Irma Yapor weighed the options last summer and decided to dump her cellular-phone carrier for one that offers coverage in Puerto Rico. Because she travels to the island often, it seemed like the right move.
But there was a serious drawback: Changing companies meant sacrificing a familiar phone number. Yapor still wonders whether she did the right thing.
