The city of Auburn will hold a series of focus group meetings this week to solicit opinions on the city's future cable and telecommunication needs.
City Manager John Salomone said the purpose is to gather information from knowledgeable individuals about what the city should include in its franchise agreement with Adelphia Communications.
The 10-year agreement gives the cable company exclusive rights to sell cable services to city residents. The agreement expired in April 2001 and has been extended three times. The latest extension expires in October.
