Nov. 6--VENERABLE CEO STILL IN TOP FORM: Don't even talk to Charlie Loudermilk Sr. about retiring.
At 76, Loudermilk is having so much fun as chief executive of Aaron Rents Inc. he can hardly stand it.
"I cannot tell you how well the company is doing," a proud Loudermilk says. "It's so ... exciting. Between now and the end of the year, we'll open four stores a week."
Loudermilk said the company will announce today a new franchise deal for 31 more stores -- continuing the rapid growth the retailer began in 1955.
