Nov. 6--HIDALGO, Texas--The fax rested at the bottom of an untouched pile of mail and news, and at the end of a hard day, Principal Irma D. Duran just didn't have the energy to page through that pile.
The next morning, she found it -- and days later, is still shocked.
Her high school -- Hidalgo High School -- was named one of the top 13 high schools in the state this year by the Texas Business & Education Coalition.
"This is a great honor," Duran said with a smile. "It's a morale booster also for the teachers. Seeing all that hard work -- all that work as a team -- pay off at the end, is just great." Hidalgo ...
